Can’t get Bitdefender to install, no matter what you try?  Stuck in an infinite loop of “Needs Reboot”?  Try this!


1. Download this tool and save it on the machine
2. Open CMD with Admin privileges.
3. Go to the location of the tool using the command cd followed by the path to the file
4. Type BEST_uninstallTool.exe /bdparams /bruteForce /destructive or BEST_uninstallTool.exe /bdparams /bruteForce /unsafe
Please note the whole command is case-sensitive! /bruteForce MUST be typed with a capital F.
5. A new window will appear on the screen, please wait until the window will finish the process. 
6. Check if the following folder locations are removed from the machine, if not manually delete them:
– C:\Program Files\Bitdefender
– in regedit -> HKEY_local_machine -> Software -> delete EndpointSecurity.removed and Bitdefender
7. Restart the machine manually.  
8. Download a fresh package from the Console and install.

Note: These steps may need to be performed in Safe Mode, if Normal Mode doesn’t work.
